Former mansion that ordered by François Rolland de Réauville,  is located in the Mazoran district, an upscale residential area in the center of Aix-en-Provence. After experiencing the turmoil of the family replacement,  Culturespaces took over from Hôtel de Caumont and turned it into a site devoted to art exhibitions.

 

 

After extensive restoration, today Caumont Center d'Art is home for many great art shows and countless concerts, music shows and art lectures.

 

Sisley, the Impressionist. Special exhibition

From June 10th to October 15th, the Sisley exhibition is held here, with up to 60 exhibits on display here to public, including many artworks that have never been shown before.

 

 

 

What makes Alfred Sisley different is that he prefers to paint scenes and scenery with brushes, probably influenced by John Constable's style, and Sisley uses his notes to write down the details of his favorite landscape, including light, weather and season.

 

Film "Cezanne au pays d’Aix"

The film Cezanne au pays d'Aix is shown in the auditorium, depicting Cezanne's life, narration of several important turning points in his life and life in Provence.
