Fragonard is one of France’s most renowned perfume brands, founded in Grasse in 1926. With nearly a century of family heritage, the brand continues to craft its exquisite fragrances in its factories along the Côte d’Azur. Deeply rooted in the art of perfume-making and the Provençal way of life, Fragonard has built an outstanding reputation across Europe.
The brand also has a strong presence in Paris, near the Opéra Garnier, where it has opened its iconic Perfume Museum. This elegant space invites visitors to explore the history of fragrance while also offering a boutique featuring an extensive selection of perfumes, cosmetics, and home fragrances cherished by both Parisians and travelers. In this article, we have selected some of the best products to buy there.

The first thing to know when buying a perfume is to understand the different types, which vary in their concentration of pure perfume—and therefore in price. The higher the concentration of pure perfume, the longer the fragrance will last:
Eau de Cologne: the most affordable, with 3–6% pure perfume
Eau de Toilette: 5–15%
Eau de Parfum: 15–20%
Parfum: more than 20%
Parfum lasts the longest. Although it is more expensive, you need to use much less of it compared to less concentrated fragrances like Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum. Most perfume shops only sell Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum. However, Fragonard, as a direct producer without intermediaries, offers high-quality Parfum with a high concentration of pure perfume—at the same price as mainstream brands' Eau de Toilette. Fragonard perfumes are sold in aluminum bottles for longer preservation, as they block harmful UV rays that can degrade fragrance components—something glass does not do.
Belle de Nuit is a uniquely rich and harmonious blend of floral and fruity notes, anchored by a warm, velvety heart of musk. As one of Fragonard's best-selling fragrances, it is available in various forms, including Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, cosmetics, allowing you to enjoy its captivating scent in multiple ways.
Housed in an elegant prestige box, Étoile exudes a beautifully balanced scent, blending the brightness of bergamot and lemon with a refreshing touch of ginger—perfect for summertime. As part of Fragonard’s classic collection, it remains one of the brand’s best-selling fragrances.
Diamant is a delightful blend that opens with sparkling fruity and sweet top notes, seamlessly transitioning into a floral heart, beautifully complemented by a warm base of vanilla, patchouli, and musk. This captivating fragrance is also available as a shower gel and matching body lotion, allowing you to indulge in its full sensory experience.
Since Eau de Toilette has a lower concentration of pure perfume, you get a larger quantity for the same price as Eau de Parfum. Many Eau de Parfum and Parfum fragrances are also available in Eau de Toilette format.
Belle Chérie Eau de Toilette boasts a unique name that means "Beautiful Darling," capturing the essence of fresh bouquets, fruits, and woods. The fragrance opens with top notes of tangerine and star fruit, followed by a heart of jasmine, heliotrope, and lily-of-the-valley, all anchored by a warm base of sandalwood, tonka bean, and vanilla. The 200ml bottle comes as a refillable spray, offering both convenience and sustainability.
A true scent enthusiast? Why not choose the Fragonard room diffuser to keep the captivating fragrance lingering in your space for up to eight weeks? Inspired by the charming town of Arles, renowned for Van Gogh’s time there, this room fragrance captures the soothing warmth of the southern sun. With top notes of ginger and cardamom, a heart of rose and jasmine, and a base of cedar and licorice, it creates a beautifully balanced and inviting atmosphere.

These are truly unique gifts, as they can only be purchased for one year, whereas other iconic products are available year-round.
This year, Fragonard is celebrating the bright freshness of lemon blossom. Its brilliant white petals release an invigorating floral fragrance that evokes the summer breeze of Provence.
Fragonard offers several types of hand creams, each a unique creation with beautiful and romantic designs. Every cream is inspired by a place in Provence. For example, Belle de Grasse (inspired by the town of Grasse) has a soft, sweet scent with notes of bergamot, orange blossom, and mimosa.
Soap-making has been a long-standing tradition in Provence. As an eco-friendly, natural, and safe product, soap has regained popularity in recent years. At Fragonard, you’ll find a wide variety of soaps in different shapes and scents. For a thoughtful gift, beautifully packaged soaps are available with matching soap dishes for €24.
