A Day with The Camargue Horse's - Manade Fernay

Manade Fernay

If you are exhausted with the city life and looking for a retreat, what could be better than getting in touch with nature? We grabbed this opportunity for relaxation, fun and to experience French culture. Here's a glimpse of our horse riding trip in Arles.

Manado de Fernay is a ranch about 5 km away from the center of the city of Arles. Here you can take part in a variety of events such as horse riding, wild horses, and bullfighting tours, as well as an aperitif or dinner and enjoy Provence.

You can experience the southern France in its true essence in July and August during the special horse riding show entitled 'Entre Camargue et Andalousie' between Camargues and Andalousie horse breed, which will showcase the traditional outfits with the folk performances of Arles. The horse riding show takes place in the stadium of the ranch.

Horse Riding Show

After the Second World War the French, motivated by a strong cultural connection to the horse, were the first to revive the idea of travel on horseback and have maintained many rights-of-way for equestrian travel. This combined with the beautiful countryside, delicious food, and storied history create the ideal setting for riding trips today.

Visit to the Visite de la Manade ranch

The white Camargue horses are famous not only for their colour but also for its close proximity to the wild horse, which is cultivated freely in the area. The Camargue horse is an ancient breed of horse indigenous to the Camargue area in southern France. Its origins remain relatively unknown, although it is generally considered one of the oldest breeds of horses in the world. The white Camargue is also truly photogenic.
