ATMOSPHERE

Great wood tables and a sideboard with round pendant lights in the room; modern, light and simple style. Decor is homely, quite smart and contemporary in style with bare exotic floors, low key soft lighting, wooden tables and chairs and some interesting decorative objects.

WHAT TO EAT

Over 90% of the dishes are fish or seafood dishes.  Portuguese cuisine is renowned for its seafood, often prepared in the simplest of manners. So don't leave Peixes without trying their Portugese dishes.

BAGUETTE

French restaurants serve free bread baskets before the meal.

Why? First, it’s a sign of hospitality and bread actually makes you hungrier than you were before. You most likely won’t feel any fullness from the bread until after you’re done ordering. There are plenty of reasons for serving bread before a restaurant meal.

LES HUITRES The Oyster

The French are particular about their food and in a good way. The classical French way to eat a fresh oyster, is squirted with a bit of lemon juice. Oysters are delicious on their own but it's great to try with a simple squeeze of lemon.

Fresh Oysters contain a hormone that is known to increase your appetite.

Most people know that white wine and seafood belong together — whether it's Sauternes or Sauvignon Blanc.

POULPE GRILLE ET GNOCCHI

A nice small plate with gnocchi and grilled octopus. It was just as delicious as it looks.

Tomato sauce with gnocchi, tender, lightly seasoned and charred octopus that tastes amazing! A must try for seafood lovers!
