Amsterdam is such a charming city to travel where cute buildings and peaceful canals welcome you. Just next to Amsterdam canal, there is a special bridge hotel. It is not a normal hotel, but more private as 28 hotel rooms are all separated as a building all over Amsterdam.
Bridge houses were used by many bridge keepers over 100 years. However, as the local government developed the automatic system to open and close the bridges, bridge houses became redundant.
SWEETS hotel initiated the urban space project in 2012, resulting in turning many old bridge houses to hotels, and this project is still going on. With efforts of many architects and designers, SWEETS hotel presents a unique and local experience to tourists.
Every hotel room is private just like in the photo. There is each separate building for each room in different locations. O'Bon Paris stayed in one of them, 203 - SCHARREBIERSLUIS. Right next to the house is the canal flowing, and there is a bench where you can freely sit down to enjoy the canal view, very privately.
The way to check-in is very easy and convenient. Once you make a reservation, they will send you the email with the information which application you need to download. Before the check-in time, you will get a special code by email and text message. You can simply key in the code in the application and tap it at the door lock. You can simply click the button 'check out' to do check out.
Once you enter the house, it is full with warm and cozy atmopshere. With the view of canal and interior decorations, it makes you feel like your are on the boat house. Just like the name of the hotel, SWEETS Hotel, this hotel gives you a sweet and unique experience.
On one side, you have a small living room area where you can sit to rest or to plan for the next day or to chat with your company. This area is extremely cozy and comfortable, added more special ambiance with the view over windows.
Next to the living room area, there is a double bed, with an air of comfort. You will feel all cozy and relaxed tucked up in bed.
There is one shower room and one restroom. As they are separated, it is easier and more convenient to use even when you share the room with your company. The basic amenities like shampoo and shower gel is provided.
A charming decorated room with props are also impressive.
Delivering an unique experience and special ambiance, they still have all the things you need just like hotels including a hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers, a safe, and a mini fridge.
It is always nice to have a good rest after the exhausting trip, but imagine how nicer it would be if you can feel like home at hotels. They have various types of private hotel buildings like this, and each of them has different designs. The cozy house with all the necessities totally makes you feel relaxed while presenting a good memory with the amazing view.
