There is a museum district in Amsterdam. In this district, there are Heineken Museum, Albert Co-op Grocery, Amsterdam National Museum, City Museum, Van Gogh Museum. These cultural institutions attract many tourists by providing a unique experience. But if you go all of those museums in a row, you might get tired easily. So we want to introduce you a cafe, named CT COFFEE & COCONUTS, where you can stop by and take a short break from museums tour.
From the exterior, you can see that it is a stylish and well-designed cafe. As it is a famous place in Amsterdam, there are some people visiting from early in the morning. We also visited in the early morning and there were a lot of locals rather than travelers. When you enter the cafe you will be amazed at its impressive interior. The rattan lighting displays a warm atmosphere and the green lights make you feel like you are on vacation in the tropical regions.
The advantage of this cafe is that you can relax as much as you want. The cafe has three floors in total. There are classical tables and chairs where you can enjoy your brunch. Also, there are cozy sofas where you can enjoy coffee comfortably. Thanks to its relaxing atmosphere and comfortable seats, it is a place that you would love to stay for a long time.
It is different from macaron that we usually know. It looks like a cookie, but it has a sticky texture just like macaroons. They made it flatter and add the crispness. As soon as you have a bite, the coconut flavor and smell would be full of your mouth. And the texture of chewing crispy coconut is an excellent part of it.
As coconut is in the name of the cafe, there are many coconut-based drinks and menus. Among them, we chose a smoothie named Gorilla Rocco for our branch. It is made of coconut milk, berries, chocolate, vanilla, and almonds. You can add espresso shots by adding 60 cents. And if you order a Gorilla Rocco, you are donating 1 euro to Virunga Gorilla.
It is a view from the second floor. It is a place where you can enjoy a variety of snacks, from cookies, smoothies to coffee, wine, brunch, coconut pancakes, etc. If you are planning to have a museum tour in Amsterdam, we recommend you to stop by.
