Les nouvelles tables du Gourmet Galeries Lafayette

Galeries lafayette Gourmet

Le Gourmet is one of the main sections of the Maison & Gourmet department, located right in front of the Galeries Lafayette Men's building. Since its renovation, Le Gourmet showcases various French culinary products from the underground floor to the first floor. Each corner is dedicated to luxurious shops with fresh foods such as Boucher, seafood, and cheese as well as famous dessert brands for pastries, chocolates, cakes, and so on. You can also discover Le Gourmet's perfect wine selections at the huge wine cave where French sommeliers carefully pick out authentic and high-quality wines. Besides, highly promising restaurants have newly settled and started to attract visitors. Young talents and renowned chefs reveal their exclusive recipes inspired from all around the world.

Bagnard by Yoni Saada

Bagnard is one of the most favored new restaurants at Le Gourmet. In 2014, chef Yoni Saadad began to release his rich creativity based on his childhood favorite foods and memories, which made him eventually become a star of Mediterranean dining. Designed for 82 guests, the bistro-style restaurant creates a convivial and lavish atmosphere. Decorations from Israel, Morocco, and Tunisia, a beach view hanging by a window, the floor covered with red stones, fresh flowers, and bouquets of mimosa… Every detail gives off a fresh and nostalgic vibe inspiring the shores.

Salade Niçoise got nominated by Le Figaro and L’Express in 2017, as the best Nice style dish in Paris. The salad has a special and harmonious taste with fresh and savory ingredients such as eggs, tomatoes, marinated anchovies, cucumber, pink radishes, zucchini, spring onions, fresh basil, mesclun, and Kalamata olives.

Avocat Toast is also one of the healthy options that you can find at Bagnard. Divers vegetables and nuts make a light and clean flavor. Despite the mild ingredients, the mix of avocado and nuts create a deep savor at the same time. A generously sliced grilled toast is served for an open sandwich setup. Help yourself, you can either grab it with your hand or use a fork and a knife.

For a thicker choice, Mesrine Le Lascar will guarantee a satisfyingly full stomach and energy. Chawarma-style grilled chicken leg, spicy mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and pink radishes build a delectable taste. Some lovely beverages such as Citronnade Green Boukha can perfectly pair up with Bagnard’s Pans Bagnat to lighten up the aftertaste.

Pasta Della Mamma is made up of Ortiz albacore tuna, spicy red sauce, capers, Kalamata olives, beldi lemon, parsley, and zaatar. A spicy punch highlights the pasta’s chewy and abundant flavor. We recommend you mix the pasta and the toppings before serving, so the tuna helps calm down a little the spice.

For a sweet ending, don't forget to try Bagnard’s dessert. Brownie Choco-Tahini will completely spoil your taste bud, with its deep and sweet chocolate flavor and whipped cream. Another special option that we propose is Super Citron, a lemon-flavored cream with basilic. The sour and sweet taste culminates in fresh raspberry and pistachio. To maximize your pleasure, a cup of coffee could be a great idea.

Mosugo by Mory Sacko

Mory Sacko is one of the most popular chefs in Paris. Being on-screen in Top Chef season 11, his enormous popularity made him open a Parisian restaurant named MoSuke in September 2020. Quickly, his name got nominated for several gastronomic awards including an honorable Michelin star in January 2021.

At Mosugo, you can taste the young Michelin-starred chef's special fusion street food at affordable prices.

The minimal and refined wood details create a zen and exotic ambiance under golden light and beige-cream colors. The arch shape decorations symbolize the chef's inspiration: the bridge between West Africa, France, and Japan.

One of the signature menus is the fried chicken burger. Made with Bretzel buns, it is a great combination of pickles and cheese with miso mayonnaise sauce. The vegetarian version is also available.

Fried chicken and potato with an African touch is absolutely one of a kind. Without any heavy aftertaste, it shows good care and love for each dish with good ingredients and healthy oil.

As for the side dishes, the sweet potato is incredibly delicious both fries and roasted. Homemade hibiscus or ginger juice is highly recommended to add a fresh and sweet flavor. Finally, the famous Brookie (a mix of cookie and brownie biscuit), Miso Sunday, and Ice cream caramel miso are the must-try desserts.
