Paris Plage  was established as a summer tradition in Paris.

This is the 16th year of Paris Plage, but this year it is bigger and better than usual. The period has been extended to more than two months, and instead of setting up just a  sand beach, three types of pools with different sizes and depths are built in the La Villette reservoir (Bassin de la Villette) along the Canal Saint-Martin.

Paris-Plages turns the Bassin de la Villette into a beach resort. 3 pools are open daily for free between July 15 and August 15, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m!

So get ready to cool off and enjoy summer Parisian style with sun, sand and sports activities

Win French hearts by indulging in a friendly game of pétanque.

Here is a map of Paris · Plage in La Villette reservoir. Of course, in addition to this pool you can also enjoy a variety of water activities such as kayaks, boats and water balls. There are plenty of activities that are perfect for children, such as the Zip Line crossing reservoirs! (Age restricted)

Water quality management is also done so that you can swim without any fear and a lifeguard is also around the pool at all times to ensure utmost safety.

On the other side of the pool, there are places where both adults and children can enjoy. All sorts of games, deck chairs and umbrellas set-up so you can relax, and many cafes offering many types of good cuisine.

And if the weather’s hot, you can cool off at one of the onsite open-air refreshment kiosks or ice-cream sellers!

Cold drinks and beverages of beer and juices are also available as a cherry on top of your summer party.

On the quayside, beach huts, showers and toilets provide facilities for slipping on a swimsuit; and for refreshment, there are 4 kiosks and 2 ice-cream sellers.

Perfect  summer vibes !

What makes Paris Plage even more worthwhile is while adults can ensconce themselves on the elegant deckchairs, the needs of children are never ignored, for they can keep busy with countless entertaining activities. Between games of beach volleyball, bike rides, dancing under the water sprinklers and building sandcastles, Paris Plage has plenty of fun outlets for children of all ages to release some of that relentless energy!

O'Bon Paris' Note

Paris-Plage is also available along the River Seine (Le Parc Rives de Seine Metro 1,11 Line Hôtel de Ville station), there is no sand, but there are areas where deck chairs, umbrellas, cafés and so on line up! Even if you dont swim activities such as dance and yoga workshops are also held, so please participate by all means and enjoy the summer Parisien style.
