INTRO

YANN COUVREUR is located on the tasty road ’RUE DES ROSIERS’ in Marais area. The big window welcomes you and makes parisians stop to look inside.

 

ATMOSPHERE

As if proving how famous it is, the shop is crowded with numerous people. Even though it is not very spacious inside, since many customers order for take away, it is not so difficult to find a seat. The interior with bright color wood and bricks creates refined brilliant atmosphere.

 

Yann Couvreur, emerging as a young pâtissier in Paris, opened the dessert shop to realise his dream. As he was living near the forest in the childhood, he could see foxes easily. He was so fascinated by clever and elegant foxes that the fox became a symbol of his shop.

 

WHAT TO EAT

All the desserts in the shop is 100% hand-made without any artificial pigments. Furthermore, they only sell organic coffee and only use recyclable forks and knives. Each season, some new desserts are displayed using the season’s fruits.

 

The signature menu of YANN COUVREUR is Mille-feuille which were awarded ‘Dessert of the year’ from LEBEY Guide in 2014. Only limited 50 mille-feuille is available per day as first come and first served. The freshly made mille-feuille, with fresh ingredients right in front your eyes, satisfies your eyes and mouth. As only 50 mille-feuille is available per day, it is better to visit not too late if you want to try it out.

 

UN MILLE-FEUILLE HAUTE COUTURE RÉALISÉ À LA COMMANDE

The appearance and taste is distinct from the normal mille-feuille we knew before. The combination of old vanilla cream and soft pastries is melted in the mouth. Made of the fresh ingredients on site, it produces crispy and soft taste at the same time.

 

RENARD CHOCOLAT-PRALINÉ

The eye-catching sleeping fox cake. The cake is filled with milk chocolate and nutty hazelnut cream and surrounded by chocolate biscuits, producing the unstoppable taste.

 

CARRÉ CITRON VERT

Lemon tart with creamy texture and various flavours. On the rich egg tart base, full of meringues and lemon cream creates the harmony of sweet, sour, and light flavour.

 

O’ BON PARIS’ NOTE

Located in such a easy-to-approach Marais area full of restaurants and shopping spots. The price of dessert is also reasonable compared to other dessert shops in Paris.
