CANNES

Cannes is one of the city in Southern France that sparkles with glamour and exclusivity. This legendary seaside resort has all the glitz and allure of the Côte d'Azur: private beaches, marinas filled with luxury yachts, stylish boulevards, elegant Belle Epoque hotels, and fashionable restaurants. Cannes enjoys an international reputation which is better known as a home to the most famous film festival. It was actually an European city where Britain and Italy set up villas and began to develop into recreational cities with yachts and harbor. Today, it is the place where the world's most prestigious film festival Cannes is held every year, and many of the world's stars are coming to spend their holiday.

 

NICE → CANNES

Cannes is also good idea to do one day trips from Nice. If you want to spend one night in a luxurious hotel or shopping in the luxury shop in the boulevard the croisette, but if not, it will possible also to vist this beautiful city in one day. This is several option to get there :

 

TER 

TER : Train express regional or it knows as Train intercity. It takes about 10 stops from Nice Ville to arrives at the Cannes train station.

Price: about 7 euros

Duration: about 30 minutes

 

Bus 200

Take bus number 200 to Cannes via Antibes. There is a bus every 20 minutes. It is not recommended because it will take a long time to get to Cannes, but you can save money in terms of cost.

Price: 1.5 EUR

Duration : about 1 hour 30 minutes

 

VIEUX PORT

The old port unfurls below the Suquet. There are a number of luxury recreational yachts in line. As prove to be the most luxurious city in the Mediterranean, the glittering ships are endlessly lined. In the mornings the colorful Marché aux Fleurs (Flower Market) is held here.

 

 

SUQUET

Le Suquet district represents the original fishing village. The hill of the "Suquet" is where Cannes began. In a picturesque hillside setting, this area offers exceptional views as well as Old World charm. Le Suquet has retained some of the ambience of centuries ago.  In the old town of Nice, in the chateau district, you can see a different face than Cannes' luxury recreational city.

 

 

 

MUSEE DE LA CASTRE

On a hill overlooking the Bay of Cannes, the Musée de la Castre occupies a former medieval monastery that is now classified as a historic monument. Visitors can climb to the top of the building to take in the breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Cannes and its surroundings. The museum's interior courtyard also provides a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the natural setting. G

 

 

 

PALAIS DES FESTIVALS ET DES CONGRES

The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès is the venue of the Riviera's most glamorous red-carpet affair, the Cannes Film Festival, the world's biggest film festivals. The annual Cannes Film Festival, is a real place for us, a red carpet in the picture that is becoming a spotlight for world-class stars every year and also used for many events, conferences and festivals year round. 

 

RUE D'ANTIBES

Antibes street is the ultimate shopping street, a shopping place where you can find relatively affordable brands or famous cosmetic brands in France Today, all the major international High Street names are to be found on Rue d'Antibes. You can also admire its architectural environment, with buildings from the 19th century.

 

LA CROISETTE

The Croisette is now an avenue renowned for its prestigious shops and the luxury hotels that have established Cannes' history, including the Carlton, the Martinez, and the Majestic. This most famous seaside has all the luxury brands of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Celine and Valencia. 

 

 

PLAGE DU GOELAND

As an exclusive seaside resort town, Cannes also has upscale private beaches that require entrance fees of €12 to €18. There were several cafes and restaurants on the Private Beach, where I was led by a blue parasol. The cafe serves a reasonable price of  hot chocolate sundae on the sandy beach and the sea.
