Did you know that Leuven, a small university city in Belgium, holds the biggest brewery company in the world?  In November 2016, UNESCO has listed Belgium's beer culture among the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, recognized the Belgian beer as playing a key role in daily life of Belgians. It's not about the volume of beer production or comsumption, but it's about the diversity of beers from ambic beers, trappist beers, brown beers, not only the worldwide trending pilsner beers. Here in the brewery Stella Artois, you can participate in a guided tour to know more about Belgian beers!

벨기에인에게 맥주는 밀접한 관계를 넘어 뗄레야 뗄 수 없는 삶 그 자체. 하지만 벨기에인의 맥주는 그들만의 것이 아니다. 벨기에 '맥주문화'가 세계무형문화유산에 등록될 정도로

 벨기에의 유명 대학 루뱅 가톨릭 대학이있는 도시 루뱅. 이 도시는 세계에서 가장 큰 주류 업체가 있다는 것을 아시나요? 벨기에 "맥주 문화」는 2016 년 11 월에 세계 무형 문화 유산에 등록되었습니다. 벨기에 사람들의 생활에 밀접하게 관련되는 중요한 키 포인트라고 간주 되었기 때문입니다. 맥주의 생산량과 소비량의 문제가 아니라 맥주 문화의 다양성이 평가되고 있습니다. 아베이 맥주, 토라삐스토 맥주, 갈색 맥주, 그리고 현재 세계에서 주류 필스너 만이 아닌 독특한 맥주가 많이 존재합니다.

Stella Artois brewery roots back to 14th century. The beer used to be brewed in Den Hoorn Brewery and later Stella Artois purchased it. Still now, the symbol of the Den Hoorn Brewery is proudly displayed in Stella Artois' cartouche to this day. After listening to the history of the brewery Stella Artois, the guide will take you to the huge brewing room. Brewing beer is about regulating the interactions between water, starch, yeast, hops, and some often spices in Belgium.  In this brewing room, the water is precisely conditioned to produce stable beers.

 우선 첫 번째 섹션에서는 스텔라 아르 투아 양조장의 역사에 대해들을 수 있습니다. 원래이 맥주는 14 세기의 루뱅에서 Den Hoorn 양조장에서 제조 된 것으로, 후에 Stella Artois가 인수 한 것으로 지금의 맥주로 이어집니다. 지금도 맥주의 라벨에는이 Den Hoorn 양조장의 심볼 디자인으로 담겨 있습니다. 하나 하나의 맥주가 벨기에 맥주 문화를 나타냅니다. 그리고 이러한 역사에 대해 들어 본 후 거대한 양조 시설로 이동합니다. 맥주 양조는 물, 전분, 맥아, 호프, 그리고 벨기에 향신료 등 적은 재료의 균형을 절묘하게 취해야한다 섬세한 예술입니다. 몇 %라도 바뀌면 맛은 변화 해 버립니다. 여기에서는 물의 성분을 매번 꺼내 균형을 컨트롤하고 있습니다.

Since there are not that a lot of ingredients in beers, the ingredients with little difference makes a great difference. You'll learn how the crops are turned into the ingredients for beers and how the beers are produced here.

맥주의 재료는 간단한만큼 거기에 사용하는 원재료에 약간의 차이가 크고 맛을 좌우하게됩니다. 이 섹션에서는 스텔라 아르 투아 양조장에서 맥주 생산 공정과 재료에 대한 자세한 설명을들을 수 있습니다.

After that, the most fun part of the factory, you can see the packaging process with your eyes. Stella Artois is one of the most demanded beers in the world now. You'll be surprised how fast they are packaged!

공장 견학으로 포장 섹션을 보는 것은 매우 재미 있지요. 벨기에는 아직 작은 양조장이 많이 존재하고 대량 생산 형 이외의 것도 많습니다 만, 전세계에서 많은 사람들에게 사랑 받고있는 스텔라 아르 투아에서는 생산량도 꽤 많고, 포장 작업의 자동화가 진행 이지 수 있습니다.

Reducing the amount of non-resuable package is also an important achievement. Anheuser-Busch InBev, the company which holds the brewery Stella Artois got the 2018 Excellence in Reusable Packaging Award from Reusable Packaging Association.

유럽의 여러 나라에서 적극적으로 재활용에 노력하고 있습니다. 환경세가 높은 벨기에도 그중 하나. 이 스텔라 아르 투아 양조장을 소유 앤 하이 저 부시 인 베브 (Anheuser-Busch InBev) 사는 2018 년, 재사용 가능한 포장 노력의 훌륭함이 평가되어 Reusable Packaging Association에서 수상하고 있습니다.

As you may have expected, the best appreciatable part is the tasting of beers. you can get glasses of beers in this bar, delivered directly from the brewery. For winter, we also tried the winter edition of Leffe.

Getting a glass of beer freshly served from the bar and taking the first sip, this is the most enjoyable moment. You can sit down on the sofa or chair and feel perfectly relaxed.
