La Biennale Paris 2017

Created for collectors in 1962, the first Biennale des Antiquaries was held at the Grand Palais where it was staged regularly until the Nave was closed for repairs. For art lovers from all over the world, hoping to acquire the finest antiques, fine art or jewelry, the Biennale des Antiquaries is the place to be.

This year would be the 29th annual edition of the Biennale des Antiquaire.

 

This prestigious show brings together the leading French and foreign dealers, big-spending collectors, and sharp-eyed amateurs. It offers a unique panorama of several centuries of art. Amateurs of furniture, tapestries, ceramics, and old paintings are sure to find something to their taste among all the items on display, from the primitive arts to modern painting, via the eighteenth century, Art déco and the 1950s.

 

Admission Fee

The Paris Biennale 2017 would be an international art exhibition with over 100 galleries and over 400 collectors and experts.

Tickets: € 35 for adults and € 20 for students.

 Galerie Tamenaga (Kiyotsugu Tamenaga) 

Since Galerie Tamenaga opened its flagship gallery in Tokyo in 1969, it has brought Japan the work of the Modern Masters of French and European painting, including Chagall, Van Dongen, Dufy, Lautrec, Modigliani, Picasso, Renoir, Rouault, Utrillo, Vlaminck, and others.

Izarn Pascal is a well known Paris based dealer of French and European works of Art from the 17th and 18th centuries with a particular specialty in French 18th & early  19th-century gilt bronze and gilt gold mounted pieces.

 

 Galerie Von Vertes 

The founder Laszlo von Vertes conceived the gallery as an international exhibition platform specialized in Fauvism, German Expressionism, Surrealism, École de Paris, Pop Art and Contemporary art. Centrally located in the Bahnhofstrasse in Zürich the gallery hosts private and international collections, organizes exhibitions and gives lectures on art and art market-related subjects.

 

 

JEFF KOONS - WOMAN IN TUB

Woman in tub  represents, in painted porcelain, a woman with a severed head in a bubble bath, her hands on her breasts,
threatened by an intruder who is concealed by a diving mask underwater.

Part of Jeff's Banality series, which is characterized by oddly eroticized, comic, and kitsch images, this work demonstrates Duchampian and Pop Art strategies of appropriation and, combining imagery from multiple sources, makes the primary subject taste itself.

 

Boon Art Gallery

Galerie Downtown

Galerie Downtown—François Laffanour specializes in furniture by European and American masters of design—most of the architects—of the 20th century. For the past 25 years, the gallery has organized thematic and monographic exhibitions on designers such as Jean Prouvé, Le Corbusier, Charles and Ray Eames, Carlo Mollino, and Charlotte Perriand.

Opened in 1997, this Paris-based gallery specializes in avant-garde works dating from Impressionism through the Post-War period. 

 

Librairie Camille Sourget 

The bookshop’s speicalizes in books from from the 15th to the 20th century.The bookshop Camille Sourget participates in various international fairs, and among them is : the New York Antiquarian Book Fair, the International Antiquarian Book Fair of Paris, Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris, China in Print in Hong Kong, etc. 

 

Galerie Berès

The Berès gallery specializes in two fields: Japanese prints and 19th and 20th century French avant-garde painting, with artists such as Corot, Harpignies or Jongkind, Impressionists, Post-impressionists, and also Nabi artists such as Bonnard, Vuillard, Maurice Denis.
