BEST CROISSANTS IN PARIS

Our top 10 classic and modern croissants in Paris

Laurent Duchêne

They have two croissants flavored, the original with butter flavor and the signature one with chocolate praliné inside. Like the cacao, one of Bo&mie, chocolate inside is like a paste, with the natural flavor, sweet a bit but not much, not too strong and you can always have the croissant flavored. Maybe the chocolate is completed with praliné, and the chocolate outside is easy to smelt, don't forget to demand a tissue if you don’t want to wash your hand after.

La Maison d’Isabelle

If you are looking for a classic croissant with a crispy shell, not too hard with the right thickness, and fluffy inside, here is a good place to go. Won first place for the best butter croissant of Paris Ile de France in 2018, you can not go wrong. In our opinion, we prefer to have more butter flavored but if you like something lighter, it’s the perfect one.

Boulangerie Utopie

Croissant classic

1€20

Crispy shell, clear layers. The cake inside is soft, sweet, and lightly buttery. We also love: Black baguettes, black escargot raisins

BÄRÄ

2€10

The first thing you can realize is that the shell of the croissant at BÄRÄ is really crispy. Besides the original one, the look of the fusion taste of sesame, and lemon croissant is more interesting. Like other flavored croissants, the smell of sesame and lemon is not strong, just add a bit of flavor but with the lemon, you can also taste a sour hint that balances the sesame paste inside. We really love the paste with this original choice. They also have two tables outside if you want to sit down and take your breakfast with tranquillity.

Bo&mie

Every croissant has a crispy shell and is soft inside. Even if it doesn’t have a fancy look shiny and fluffy with the clear layer the taste makes the point. Croissant Classic is good but nothing more. The butter inside doesn't make us wow but we fell in love and were more surprised about the two flavored croissants here: Choco & Framboise croissants. More than the basic one, they added the cacao paste and the framboise jam with a real piece inside. The framboise is sweeter than the cacao. The cacao is the perfect one, the paste inside is not that sweet, not too “flavored” cacao but really natural, just adds more taste to the classic one and we can still remember eating a croissant but not another Viennoiserie.

Not like a classic boulangerie but like a store, or coffee shop, every Bo&mie’s shop has a lot of places to sit down and take a break, you can enjoy a pastry with many drinks choices.

Le croissant à la compote de framboise de Pierre Hermé

Very well-known macarons, and chocolate but at some Pierre Hermé shops, you can also find their created croissant with the blend of lychee, rose, and raspberries, named Ispahan. The croissant is filled with divine rose-flavored almond paste and somewhere between the flakes at the end of the croissant I found to my surprise a compote made with raspberries and litchis, very yummy! The golden brown croissant is almost covered with rosewater glaze and small dried raspberry flakes, hinting at what’s waiting inside.
