You can purchase the Brussels Card either online, at a tourist office like the one in Grand Place, Flanders shop, Brussels City Tours, and in some museums. You can also choose the Brussels Card with free public transport or Hop on Hop off bus ticket, depending on which transportation you want to use.

 

How to use public transportation with a Brussels Card

If you choose the Brussels Card with public transportation, you can access all STIB buses, trams, or metro lines for 24, 48, or 72 hours in the Brussels Region. You can easily find STIB’s 375 GO ticket machines at any metro, tram, and bus station, where you can print out your unlimited transport ticket.

Select “EVENT PASS - TICKET” on the machine’s screen and proceed.

Enter the 9 digits printed on your Brussels Card.

Now the transport card is valid for 24h, 48h, 72h, and you can scan the card every time you take any type of transportation. For metros, sometimes there are no ticket barriers but you can find a ticket scanning machine around the stairs before you take the metro. Don't forget to scan the ticket upon entering to make sure that at the end of your ride you will be able to exit the barriers where you will have to scan the ticket again.
