In the heart of Valletta, the capital city of the Republic of Malta and one of the oldest cities, stands a 300-year-old Palazzo building that has become one of the best boutique hotels in Valletta: 19 Rooms. 19 Rooms has been renovated thoroughly from scratch, turning the old traditional building into a beautiful boutique hotel. From the exterior of the building, you may not expect to encounter the modern design constructed by materials such as concrete, glass, and steel; creating an absolute luxurious atmosphere yet casual at the same time.
The rooms at 19 Rooms will exceed your expectations of how one can turn an ancient building into a very modern one. 19 Rooms offers 4 types of rooms: the Penthouse, the Duplex, the SupeRoom, and the Mod Pod. Entering the room with a code given to you at reception, you can find original stone walls that provide an authentic Maltese atmosphere, and some rooms also have a Maltese style balcony.
The SupeRoom is spacious and comfortable with a queen-size bed, decorated with eclectic furniture. 19 Rooms has such a great design curator that all of the pieces work perfectly together giving you everything you would need at a hotel room. Some of the amenities include: hotel safe, hairdryer, bath amenities, satellite television, air conditioning and heating. There is no doubt your stay at 19 Rooms will exceed your expectations of what kind of experience a hotel room can provide.
From the moment you enter the SupeRoom, you can tell that the room has been attentively decorated. Every single item is selected to fit with the entire room and there is plenty of space for you to relax and enjoy reading a book.
The bathroom is large, providing all the amenities needed: shower, towels, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner & shower gel.
Inside or on the dresser you will find a safe where you can store your valuables. You will also be provided with an Essentials Box that 19 Rooms has carefully prepared for you. Inside you will find maps, brochures, guide books, and recommendations for travelling around Malta. Whether it is the ferry tour to Comino Island, the free walking tour of Valletta, and all other information, it is provided for you. Another very special add on is the Marshall speaker installed in every room allowing you to play music (not too loud so as to not disturb the other guests) and chill out. A munchies tray is also ready with several snacks such as chocolates, cookies, candies, and necessities such as a raincoat, power bank, and USB charging cable. There is a price list indicating the complimentary items and the fees for other items if you want to purchase them.
Walking along the glass balcony on the top floor of the hotel, you will see the magnificent view of Manoel Island with Sliema in the distance. The marvellous blue sea and cool breeze on a nice sunny day is the recepie for a perfect holiday.
19 Rooms does not offer breakfast, however, there is a coffee corner where you can get complimentary freshly baked croissants and a drink, whether it be a latte, a hot chocolate, or tea.
When you walk past the reception or turn left from the elevator, you will find a corridor leading to a cosy living room with chairs, tables, and comfortable armchairs. Bring your favourite book or just pull one off the shelf and spend a relaxing time here. Alternatively, if you need to reply to an urgent email and admit that you are a workaholic, feel free to plug in your laptop and work in this charming atmosphere. The refrigerator behind the armchairs is full of ice and the ice buckets are on top of the fridge; you can go and fill your drink with ice at your convenience. There are also several fruity-flavored popsicles waiting for you in the refrigerator as well.
Besides the living room, there is also an internal courtyard where you can sit and relax. Whether you prefer the cool breeze and warm sunlight in the internal courtyard or the cosy atmosphere in the living room, the choice is yours.
Note that the policy of the hotel does not allow children under 12 years of age to stay at 19 Rooms and the reception is not available 24/7. To get inside the hotel after 23:00 you will need to enter a code, the same one provided for your room. Don't worry if any emergency situation happens, there is an emergency number where you can reach out to the staff at any hour.
By downloading the O'bon Paris coupon and presenting it at reception upon check-in, you will receive a bottle of Prosecco to drink and enjoy during your stay at 19 Rooms. Book your room on the 19 Rooms official website.
