INTRO

Acne Studios was established in 1996 in Stockholm, dedicated to innovations in graphic design, advertising, and film. Acne cofounder Jonny Johansson released a wildly popular run of limited edition raw denim a year later and since then the brand has come to embody modern, conceptual minimalism through an ongoing exploration of materials, silhouettes and character.

There are several stores around Paris, but we visited the one in le Marais district. At the entrance there is a Venus stone statue, which is a symbol of the Paris store, and new items are put on this stone statue.

WHAT TO SHOP

Once inside the store, you can see the stairs and the shoes displayed under the garments. Not only shoes but also some other items are discounted by about 50%.

Unique pastel colors are signature to Acne Studio.

From running shoes to Beatles boots, sneakers, etc. There are now many shoes of classic design. Usually, Acne Studio is known as a minimalist brand, but its bold move in a simple skeleton stands out.

Examples are rubber / corduroy matches on a pair of sneakers in different colors. The founder of the brand, Johnny Johansson, has now said that he pursues maximal minimalism, a combination of Swedish sensibility and bold experimentation.

The history of the ACNE Studio began in 100 pair of jeans. Lanvin Alvarz, a collaborator of the proposal, paid great attention to Nordic sensibility and comfort. Acne Studio began to raise its position in the world under the name of Aknezin and first became known in Korea. The jean section is located in the center of the store, like the heart of a brand.

As mentioned above, ACNE Studio is a basic item of simple design three years ago, and was recognized as a Nordic minimalism brand in Korea. But if you look at the store now, you can easily see the avant-garde design. One of the reasons why Acne Studio is loved is this constant challenge.

ECHARPES - 160-200€

Basic items such as mufflers, t-shirts, knitwear, and jeans are loved by all. Especially, the wide and long muffler.

And Mustang, which is familiar to us, has now become a classic item beyond the fashion of this time.

Even in the constant challenge, simplicity is not missing the spirit of Acne studio. It is a high-end brand that leads trends and has always attracted the attention of the world.

발길을 돌려 다른 매장으로 가보자. 이번 파리 패션위크에서도 주목받는 우영미 WOOYOUNGMI. 디자이너 본인의 이름을 따 파리에 런칭한 우영미 WOOYOUNGMI는 패션위크 컬렉션에도 눈에 띄는 차례로 배정되는 등 파리에서의 입지를 탄탄히 다지고 있다. 파리 패션 위크를 맞아 마레 지구에 자리 잡은 우영미 매장도 간단히 둘러보았다.

WHAT TO SHOP

같은 디자이너의 브랜드로 한국에서는 솔리드 옴므 SOLID HOMME가 잘 알려져 있다. 주로 코트가 유명한데, 솔리드 옴므가 도시의 차가운 오피스남의 이미지라면, 우영미는 파리 이미지에 맞게 보다 자유로운 느낌이 있다.

하지만 같은 DNA를 공유하는 브랜드인 만큼 우영미도 대부분 클래식하고 말끔한 실루엣을 유지하고 있다. 그리고 가장 사랑받고 있는 아이템은 역시 코트. 몇 년 전부터 오버핏이 유행이라 그런지 매장에도, 컬렉션에서도 오버핏 코트가 많이 보였다.

신발이나 가방 등의 액세서리도 깔끔하지만 곳곳에 디테일이 숨어있다. 하이엔드 브랜드라 가격은 적지 않지만 마감 처리도 훌륭하고 소재도 뛰어나다. 그래서 오래 두고 입을 수 있는 기본 아이템도 인기가 높다.

우영미의 쇼윈도를 보면 낮 14시쯤 카페에 앉아 여유를 즐기는, 20대 중 후반의 틀에 박히지 않은 남성 예술 종사자가 떠오른다.
