INTRO

Jacquemart-Andre museum is located nearby the Champs-Élyées. It was once a big house for the husband and wife, Edouard Andre and Nelie Jacquemart, but is now used as a museum. Eduard Andre was a rich banker in 19th century, and collected a wide range of artworks and jewelries. Not only is it a beautifully decorated house, but also the romantic museum cafe is well known and quite famous. 

 

ATMOSPHERE

This place was previously used as the dining room of Edouard Andre and Nelie Jacquemart, and now is known as one of the most beautiful tea rooms in Paris. Keeping the atmosphere of that time, it is decorated with paintings, even on the ceiling, and gold furniture adding a special and luxurious ambiance. 

 

There are terrace seats which is perfect for a sunny day to enjoy a cup of tea. 

 

WHAT TO EAT

They serve coffee, tea, dessert, icecream, light meals, a brunch menu, and even a kids menu. The Sunday brunch menu which is available only on Sundays until 14:30 is especially popular. Brunch is served with coffee or tea or hot chocolate, and a glass of oragne juice, bread, egg casserole with herbs, mixed salad, potato salad with smoked salmon and organic ham, 2 scoops of ice cream or cake. If you are visiting before or after the meal, you can simply enjoy tea or coffee surrounded by this elegant ambiance. 

 

L'HEURE DU THÉ

Tea set which is available from 15:00. You choose a tea and two scoops of icecream or a tea and a cake. They have various choices of tea such as green tea, rooisbos, earl grey, vanilla, and many fruit tea. With a delightly sweet tarte and a cup of tea with elegant scent, you will feel happier than ever.

  

You can also visit their museum after the meal or tea time. Each room is decorated with various styles reflecting culture of those times and you can look around their special Italian collections upstairs as well. 

 

As this place is not very well known yet, you can take your time to fully enjoy the museum. It is not very big, but still there are many things to see and to inspire you. A free audio guide is available in English, French, German, Japanese, and Chinese. 

 

O'BON PARIS' NOTE

If you are looking for a tea room to spend a lazy afternoon, this is a perfect place for you. Not far from touristic attractions, but still amazingly peaceful and quiet. Museum, Cafe, and also souvenir shop. There are many things to make your day perfect here.
