French people like to enjoy oysters as their appetizer. While most of Parisian restaurants have oysters on their menu, the quality varies. You absolutely want to taste the freshest ones. You shouldn't need lemon or vinegar to eat oysters, so want to taste the freshest flavors.

Restaurant Opium, La Cabane serves only the best oysters.

In this restaurant, in addition to different varieties of oysters, they serve several seafood dishes such as fish soup, smoked salmon, etc. Any kind of meal here based with seafood can be enjoyed the simplest way without any seasoning.

WHAT TO EAT ?

Restaurant Opium, La Cabane serves fresh oysters from different French regions. Their oysters come from four regions.

Tasting oysters, along with champagne is always a good idea.  Oysters usually come with various accoutrements (lemon, cocktail sauce, a mignonette sauce of red-wine vinegar and shallots), but it's up to you whether you want to garnish your little guy.

France's oysters have almost no smell, so when you taste it, we recommend you taste the it in the most natural way without any kind of condiment such as lemon or hot sauce. Oysters come in a variety of sizes. Whether you like big or small oysters is a personal thing, but the oyster should look full in the shell and not be too thin or taste too salty. Size does not mean absolutely delicious. In France it is important to know not to take garlic, tomato sauce, or Tabasco to eat with the oyster. French people will believe you have ruined the original taste.

TOUR DE FRANCE

< Tour de France > this option is not on their menu, but the one that the boss recommended. Tour de France is a set of 4 oysters from different origins, while eating oysters from 4 different places in France, you will feel like you have been traveling around France.

You can see directly how they prepare the fresh oyster.

When eating oysters for the first time, do not hesitate to ask the waiter the way to eat the oyster. They will be happy to explain you.
