HUMPHREY'S

In Amsterdam, accommodation is comparatively costly, and the food culture is quite less developed. You have to consider a restaurant with nice price and also tasty food. Just 6 minutes away from Amsterdam Central station, there is a budget restaurant serving 3 course menu at fixed price of 29.50 euros. 

There is one more branch near Spui, Amsterdam, and there are 16 branches in total in the Netherlands including in the Hague and Rotterdam. 

Elegant and cozy ambiance welcomes you

You might not expect a nice and elegant atmosphere when you visit a budget restaurant. However, once you enter Humphrey's, you will be surprised by its cozy and luxurious ambiance. The restaurant and seats are spacious and very tidy. There are bar tables and also many other tables inside. The staffs kindly explain the menus. 

3 course menu under 30 euros

Humphrey's is famous for its 3 course menu. Including a starter, a main dish, and a dessert, it only costs 29.50 euros which is truly attractive and reasonable. Each course has various menus you can choose from, and they change menus every 2 months. For children, there is a kid menu at a lower cost. If you are allergic to some specific ingredients, you can tell the staffs when you order so that they can take out the ingredient or recommend you some other menus without it. 

TRADITIONAL BREAD WITH GARLIC BUTTER

Before starting the regular meal, they serve you bread with garlic butter and olive oil. Bread is already crispy and delicious but it is even tastier when added with garlic butter on top of it. 

CRISPY DEEP-FRIED SALMON ROLL WITH EDAMAME, WAKAME SALAD AND YUZU DRESSING

Let's get it started. The starter is already quite a big portion with nice plating. Deep fried fresh salmon is crispy and when you dip it in the sweet and sour yuzu dressing, it creates a familiar but quite a unique taste at the same time. Salads made with edamame and wakame is extremely fresh and rich as well. You will be amazed by its taste, which you could never imagine they can create this fresh and great taste just with edamame and wakame.  

MIXED GRILL

The main dish, a giant meat skewer. From angus beef to pork steak, bacon, free-range chicken fillet, mushroom, paprika, onions and garlics. Plentiful ingredients are mixed together in one skewer, and each ingredient is appetizing seasoned very well. Vegetables like paprika and mushroom balance out the great taste with meat. 

Every main dish comes with some garnish food. Mixed grill came with french fries with mayonnaise, salads, and apple puree. Salads refresh your appetite going well with meat. Apple puree is like thin apple jam. You can scoop little by little with a spoon, and it delivers sweet and fresh flavors. 

TIRAMISU WITH MOCHA ICE CREAM AND AMARETTO-CARAMEL SAUCE

Taramisu is mouth-watering. Overall, they serve quite a big quantity, but still, you do not want to miss this sweet dessert time. On top of tiramisu is added with amaretto caramel sauce, making it even sweeter and tastier. Mocha icecream on the side refreshes you to finish the meal more nicely.

At Humphrey's, the taste, price, and atmosphere all satisfy you. Humphrey's is open only for dinner, so you need to be noticed before visiting regarding your itinerary.
