INTRO

Paris is famous for its coffee shops, but if you’re not a big fan of coffee, and if you prefer tea, you might be often disappointed ! In most of the French cafés, you will only be served low quality tea bags. No worries, we found for you a newly open Tea shop which serve tasty teas. Laïzé is a Taiwanese style tea room in the center of Paris (north of le Marais area). You can take away  or stay at their place to enjoy your tea. The tea served in Laïzé (black, green and oolong…)  all come from Taiwan.

ATMOSPHERE

The Tea room is located in a quiet street, so it’s the ideal place to have a rest when you’re hanging around the bustling Marais area. Unlike most of the bubble tea shops in Paris, the atmosphere of Laïzé is very chic: the counter and furniture are all made of wood and the design is sober and elegant. The boxes behind the counter are a reference to traditional chinese pharmacies : indeed in Taiwanese culture, tea has always been part of traditional medicine.

WHAT TO DRINK

We tried and enjoyed the milk teas with pearl (especially the Almond milk Tea!). But there are plenty of different types of tea to try: Lavender Milk Tea, Green Tea Latte, Mango Green Tea, Roasted Oolong… The tea are made according to the customer’s choice and preferences: the tea can be served cold or hot, with or without “bubbles” (tapioca pearls or “boba”), with more or less sugar…

O’BON PARIS’ NOTE

We really enjoyed the bubble teas. However, if you ate a lot before or if you don’t like tapioca pearls, you would be  better off ordering tea without bubbles (“boba”).
